RT London worked with NAVFAC (Naval Facilities Engineering Command) Southwest and K. Killman, Inc. design firm. The General Contractors included Package 7, Turner/Penick, that consisted of four buildings with a total of 1,486 sets of furniture, as well as Package 8, Hensel Phelps Soltek, that consisted of four buildings with a total of 1,584 sets of furniture.
Products needed by the customer included Captain's style beds with storage in bed for gear and clothing, attached storage headboard for accessories, power access and lighting in the headboard, a wall cabinet with combined storage and use for desking and computer storage that included access to power and task lighting, the ability for locking security on all products so Marines could secure personal items, and finishes and materials that were warm and inviting to create a positive atmosphere for personnel.
Medallion product line pieces were used to fit the space and needs. Elements have some customization done to meet the needs and materials used Cherry Veneer with a medium finish called “Tobacco”.
